The library and information market has long been the focus for ALDIS.  Its reputation has been second to none in the successful sale and support of information products in Australasia.  ALDIS is a group of information professionals with over twenty-five years of industry experience in Australia and New Zealand, who are well known in the library and information field.

In recent years the ALDIS activities have been extended with services to the education sector, with the introduction of Turnitin®. ALDIS represents Turnitin in the Pacific and East Asian regions, and is providing plagiarism prevention and collaborative learning technologies to schools and higher education institutions.  There are currently well over one hundred institutions holding Turnitin licences in the region.

ALDIS Associates Pty Ltd is an independent company that was set up in 2001.  This company followed as a progression from the original ALDIS company, which was established in 1986 as the first world-wide distributor for SilverPlatter Information Inc.  As well as SilverPlatter, ALDIS successfully represented RMIT Publishing, ProQuest, CSA (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts), Dialog, and CABI, in addition to a number of other major international database vendors.

Robyne Lovelock, Managing Director

Robyne, the Managing Director of the company, has been involved in library automation development since the early days of computers in libraries in Australia.  This has involved many projects, along with senior management roles in the information industry, the electronic publishing industry and in library automation projects.

She has formed business relationships with key information providers since 1991 and maintains regular contact with many national and international vendors. 

Over the last four years Robyne has managed the marketing and support of the Turnitin suite of plagiarism prevention products to the secondary school sector and to post-secondary education institutions.
